SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE KITCHENS
Those of you in the hospitality industry may have noticed that consumer behaviours are changing with a shift towards health and wellbeing. People are talking about the potential impacts of plastic on food safety and public health.
Plastic, a ubiquitous material in our daily lives, has unfortunately found its way into many aspects of the food service industry.
Chemical leaching from the use of plastic in food preparation, storage, and serving, poses a genuine risk to food integrity and consumer well-being, underscoring the urgency for change within the industry.
Moreover, the environmental impact of plastic pollution cannot be overstated, with plastics contributing to pollution in our oceans, soil, and air, posing threats to ecosystems and wildlife.
BECOME THE CHANGE
Proactively transitioning away from plastic is a strategic move to maintain profitability and competition in a changing market.
THE STORY
WHY WE STARTED
After struggling with reproductive issues, founder Vicky, discovered research exposing the health risks of harmful chemicals leaching into food. Experts have established a correlation between the consumption of harmful chemicals and a range of health concerns, including hormone disruption, reproductive issues, neurological disorders, and a heightened susceptibility to cancer.
Shocked with the lack of regulations across the UK food industry. Vicky together with like-minded friend Rachael, set out on a pioneering mission to help eradicate harmful plastics and create healthier dining experiences.
